Chinese Steamed beef slices

  • Lean beef
  • lettuce
  • Spring onion

  1. Chop the beef into thin slices.
  2. Chop a spring onion, a small piece of ginger into ‘mince’.
  3. Mix chopped spring onion, ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of crushed chili, 1 tablespoon of cooking wine, 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of oil, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  4. Leave the mix for around 15 mins.
  5. Add in rice flour, just enough to cover a thin layer of sliced beef.
  6. In the steamer, lay a few lettuce leaves on the steam sheet.
  7. Place prepared beef on the leaves. Steam the beef with strong fire for 10 minutes.
